New postcards by Odeta Merkelienė
Allow us to present Odeta Merkelienė, a talented Lithuanian painter. Since childhood, she has been attracted to various arts. Already at the age of 12, she glued pictures from amber, drew portraits with a pencil on paper, and sewed fabric dolls.
"When I create, I feel alive," says Odeta.
“Being a sensitive and gentle person with an artistic soul, this is reflected in my work. I don't want to paint dark spaces, sharp corners, or intricate details; my hands soften everything, smoothing it out.
I particularly enjoy depicting women in my paintings, showcasing their tenderness, elegance, beauty, or even their sexuality. For many years, my favorite realism has been gradually intertwining with fantastical elements”
